Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne won’t exactly be having a black tie optional wedding.
The UFC fighters plan to have something a bit more casual near the groom’s hometown in Hawaii, Rousey said in an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan.
“He’s Hawaiian so we’re going to do like a backyard, Mexican Corona party but in Hawaii,” she said.
The two were engaged during a vacation in New Zealand. Rousey said Browne had a whole speech prepared before popping the big question but seemed overwhelmed with the moment so just cut it down to pretty simple bullet points.
“We’re in New Zealand. Under a waterfall. Will you marry me?” he said.
She, of course said yes.
Rousey also said on the show that Browne had planned on asking her mom’s permission to marry her, but they were distracted when they found out their house had been burglarized. With the help of some security footage, they were able to identify the alleged culprits. But seriously, who would be brazen enough to burglarize the house of professional fighters?
“I wish five minutes with me were a sentence but I think it would go under cruel and unusual punishment,” Rousey laughed.
